Encapsulated ac-dc PSUs with multiple approvals drop-in to linear footprints
47000 parts are PCB-mountable and range across 2.4-60W. Included are parts with VDE & UL approvals, CE marking and that meet class B EMC standards without any additional external components.
Output are available between 5.0 and 24Vdc, while inputs can span 85-265Vac (47-63Hz) or 120-370Vdc.
“The 2.4W to 5W range provides a form-fit-and-function replacement for EI30 type transformer-based power supplies,” according to JPR.
48000 models are small, at 25 x 25 x 16mm, and span 1 to 3W. These have VDE and UL certification.
Requirements covered by supplies in the ranges meet: IEC/EN61558-2-16, IEC/EN62638, IEC/EN60335, UCUL60950.
Conducted and radiated EMC emission conforms to EN55014, EN55032, CLASS B, EN61000-3-2 CLASS A, EN61000-3-3, IEC61000-4-2, IEC61000-4-3, IEC61000-4-4, IEC61000-4-5, IEC61000-4-6 and IEC61000-4-11.
Potential applications include replacing less power-efficient linear transformer-based PSUs, point-of-load ac-dc, stand-by supplies and auxiliary supplies. S power supplies – in industrial, domestic and consumer electronics.
“Myrra encapsulated power supplies allow customers to upgrade their products without having to redesign PCBs,” said JPR director Paul Raynor. “In the same package as an EI30 transformer, they can replace a transformer, bridge rectifier, filter capacitor and fuse, additionally, in regulated power supplies, the linear regulator and heatsink can be eliminated.”
